21 yr old Cat Moon vetting before the penultimate loop of the Open 160km Endurance Race, 12th July 2003, Cirencester Park 6.00pm - the pain shows on Cat as she and Simbar head back to the venue after over 12 hours of riding in 160km race Cat hugs her mother as Simbar is declared the winner following final vetting after the race. A fantastic result for a Young Rider Squad member
8.00am Start of 80km Junior/Young Riders Endurance race-ride, 13th July 2003, Cirencester Park 10.00am The Young Rider Squad racing sensibly together on a day when the temperature reached 32°C Abbie Lockett tackles the 120km Young Riders a qualification race-ride on Saturday 12th July 2003, Cirenceter Park
11.00am - Philip Hirst reaches for a 'slosh' bottle after 30km of the 80km YR race Phil and 'Chahalam' settle into second place ahead of Chris Rose Phil and Chris locked together, swapping the lead, until Phil sprints clear to take the second place spot
Zara Moon (far side) perseveres after being injured following a fall on the first loop 1.00pm Zara continues despite her accident and completes in a well credited fifth place Zara tends to 'Yamavar' following their adventurous ride before applying some make-up to a black eye
Chris Rose rests at the first vet gate whilst his father and crew tend to 'G Putnik' 11.00am Chris presses on just in second place ahead of Philip Hirst Chris achieves a narrow lead eight miles from the finish only to loose out in a sprint finish
Rachael approaches the venue in Cirencester park at the end of loop one Rachael Rogerson and 'Magef Cariad' take on sustenance at vet gate 2 as the summer heat intensifies Rachael on her way to 4th place demonstrating that good endurance horses come from all different types of breeds.
