- Endurance equipment is quite distinct from other equestrian disciplines.
- In order to avoid back pain particular attention needs to be paid to the 'seat' or position of the rider, this also helps to maintain good rider balance that lessens the strain on the horse.
- Equipment is not always made of leather as it needs to be light weight and cope with both humid and arid conditions as well as the constant soaking from 'sloshing' the horses on root, this allows riders to personalise their riding equipment with bright colours.
- Those unfamiliar with endurance often mistake the position an endurance rider takes in the saddle as sloppy. This is not the case. As the shapes of the saddles below show an endurance rider must take a more relaxed position as is necessary for completing 100 miles on a sound and happy horse.

This model is a lightweight, futuristic, endurance racing saddle for the serious competitor. The Champion has an exposed coloured tree in black, blue, red, green, yellow, orange or brown with a choice of contrasting natural or black leather and brown or black nabuk panels. There is also a choice of short or long weight pocketed, wool or Sympatex panels. Reinforced leather or matching coloured BioThane girth and stirrup straps are available. Although this saddle is light weight, it has the facility to be weighted, either in the hollow tree, or in the weight pockets that are an integral part of the long saddle flap on this model. This model is designed to be quick and easy to adjust for fitting.

'New Wool Numnahs are designed to fit Podium saddles, manufactured from the highest quality materials and are reinforced with leather.
Made in the UK to our own design from carefully selected, high quality materials. They are available as a half or full Numnah in either a plain or pocketed style to allow for shimming. We can now offer a selection of colours to compliment our range of BioThane or Zilco tack:

Manufactured from Carbon Image Leather which is 98% waterproof and 200 times more wear resistant than untreated leather. Tough enough to withstand the constant soakings in endurance yet comfortable for the rider. A must for the serious competitor with a Champion saddle.
Will easily hold all the requirements for a medical kit with room to spare. The bag is fixed into the cantle and positioned above the horse's back, so will not bounce or rub.
Designed to hold all sizes of "shoof" and again attaches to the cantle and dee ring without touching the horse.

BioThane is a Polyurethane coated Polyester webbing, light, very strong, durable and easy to clean with a damp cloth. combined with all solid brass fittings, the ideal materials for the endurance environment. Bespoke bridles and accessories can be manufactured to order.

Our breastplate is designed to be easily and quickly fitted to the horse using solid brass trigger clips to attach to the saddle and girth. Infinitely adjustable and available in a wide variety of colours.
The Reflex-Podium combination bridle is a simple, well manufactured BioThane bridle with all brass fittings. Available in a wide variety of colours.
Reflex-Podium produce a number of styles of reins. The range includes 13mm plain BioThane with clips, 13mm plain biothane with loops, 13mm rubber grip with clips or loops and luxury 16mm Eventa grip with clips or loops (Beta black only)
